DESCRIPTION:Mini Project Day with Helen – Perfect Pouch\nWelcome to the New Year and the new venue! Join Helen for this longer workshop where you will create a project using fat quarters and scraps. We have a beautiful rainbow of fat quarters by Alison Glass of Andover Fabrics at a special price for this workshop only. You can of course raid your own stash. \nWho is this for? This workshop is suitable for beginners to quilting. You will need to be familiar with your machine and how to use it’s basic features such as winding and inserting the bobbin\, threading up your machine and needle\, changing the feet and needle and sewing a straight stitch. This session is not suitable for complete sewing machine beginners however\, you do not need to have any experience of quilting. You must have a 1/4″ foot or the ability to move your needle to the 1/4″ seam allowance. \nWhat do I bring?  \n\nYour machine\nZipper foot\n\nYou can either raid your stash or get your supplies on the day. We’ll have a special offer for a pack of Alison Glass fat quarters for only £10 \n\nBackground print: 1 fat quarter\nLining fabric: 1 fat quarter\nA rainbow of colourful fabrics: 12 scraps 2.5″ x 1.5″\nMedium weight fusible interfacing: 50cm\n10″ closed end zip\nTwo copies of the triangle FPP template (supplied)\n\nWhat will I achieve? \nYou will sew the perfect pouch using Foundation Paper Piecing to create colourful Flying Geese panels. You will hone your zip insertion skills with Helen’s expert guidance. \n  \nRequired sewing knowledge/experience \nThis workshop is suitable for beginners to quilting.
