SUMMARY:Block of the Month
DESCRIPTION:This month Helen will guide you through piecing a beautiful Double Wedding Ring block. Use up some of your scrap stash or treat yourself to some fat quarters and a contrasting plain to create a stunning block! \nPlease note this is will be repeated on the October BOTM. Please refrain from attending both sessions\, thank you! \nWhat do you need to bring? \n\nTemplate for Double Wedding Ring (please ask for more details if needed)\nFabric scraps at least 3″ square for pieced rings\nFat quarter of contrasting fabric if doing plain rings rather than pieced rings\n0.5m background fabric\nThread\n28mm rotary cutter\n1/4” foot or capability to move needle on your machine to 1/4” (ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY)\nfabric marking pen\n\nA nice to have- \n\nRotating cutting mat – can be ordered from Bugweed’s in advance!\n\nRequired sewing knowledge/experience \nThis workshop is suitable for intermediate quilters. You will need to be familiar with your machine and how to use it’s features such as winding and inserting the bobbin\, threading up your machine and needle\, changing the feet and needle and sewing a straight stitch. This session is not suitable for complete sewing machine beginners. You must have a 1/4″ foot or the ability to move your needle to the 1/4″ seam allowance.
