SUMMARY:Bugweed's Sewing School - Stevie Tunic in a day!
DESCRIPTION:Please note this is a whole day workshop. \nOne payment covers the workshop and pattern. Fabric is not included for this workshop but you will be able to enjoy a 10% discount on all purchases at Bugweed’s ready for the day! \nSaturday 5th July 10.00am – 4.00pm \n\nEnjoy a whole day’s garment making using this fantastic Tilly And The Buttons pattern. The Stevie tunic is the perfect introduction to dress making and offers both a short and long version without fastenings so no buttonholes or zips to get your head round! Choose from a top or above the knee dress length. \nCatie will guide you through reading the pattern\, cutting out the fabric and sewing up the garment. There will be a new techniques to learn such as sewing a button loop or neck ties and a patch pocket. \nPlease note that you will need to bring your fabric with you for the sewing day. There is further guidance below regarding how much you will need. \n\n\n\n\nRequired sewing knowledge/experience for both sessions\n\n\n\nYou need to be able to change stitches\, stitch length and stitch width on your machine. This workshop is aimed at beginners but not sewers who have never used a machine before! \nIt would be useful if you are familiar with your machine and how to use it’s basic features such as winding and inserting the bobbin\, threading up your machine and needle. \nWhat will you need to bring for both sessions? \n\n\n\nYour sewing machine and instruction book\nFabric and thread… please see tables below for fabric requirements. If you need any help just get in touch!                                                        \nEnthusiasm!\n\n\nMachines are available to hire so please let us know if you would like to use one of our machines.

SUMMARY:Bloom Together - Jiggling Jellyfish!
DESCRIPTION:Our summer holiday workshops are all about creativity through textiles and media and are aimed at children and adults developing their skills in a range of skills and more importantly a chance to create and develop a love of being free to create. \nJoin Debbie on this child and adult workshop to create a jellyfish mobile from organdy. This useful fabric is a lightweight\, sheer cotton which holds its shape well making it perfect for textile sculpture. \nAdd decoration using haberdashery such as ribbons and beads and let your creativity loose on trimmings to make your jellyfish really stand out! \nAll materials are included in the price so just come with your enthusiasm! There will be a short break in the workshop with refreshments. \nWe are a neurodivergent friendly studio and understand that some people need more breaks than others. If you or your child requires workshop adjustments please get in touch and let us know. We are more than happy to accommodate a range of needs. \nPlease note\, this workshop is for children over 8 years old. We welcome up to 2 children with each adult.  \nPlease book the same amount of tickets as jellyfish that are to be made ie an adult and a child each making a jellyfish will book 2 tickets\, a child making a jellyfish with their adult accompanying them for support will book 1 ticket.
