DESCRIPTION:Space to Craft \nDesperate for space to lay out your project and have a couple of hours to work on it? Sometimes the table at home just isn’t big enough for large projects that need a flat surface. Whether it’s layering a quilt\, cutting out a garment pattern or planning and drafting your own pattern\, we have the answer here at Bugweed’s! \nRent a table for 2\, 4 or 6 hours on specific days and make use of our large tables. There are 5 spaces for morning and afternoon to make sure you get lots of table space. \nPlease note\, there is no tutoring with this session. Our staff will be busy in the shop and although we are always happy to help our community\, we will only be able to answer quick questions and make sure you have a cuppa!

Come and join Catie\, our patient and wonderful sewing tutor\, to sew a festive drawstring bag and begin your journey with a great simple project! \nWhat will you learn? \nCatie will show you the basics of using a sewing machine. You will go through threading your machine\, winding a bobbin\, using basic stitches\, how to sew straight lines and turning corners. \nYou will then put your new skills into practice by sewing a drawstring bag in festive fabric\, perfect for giving gifts in at Christmas! \nThis workshop is recommended for adults and teenagers above the age of 16. There will be a range of children and adult sewing classes available at Bugweed’s in the new year. \nPrevious experience required? \nNone\, this is suitable for beginners. \nWhat will I need to bring? \nIf you have your own sewing machine please bring that along\, otherwise you are welcome to use one of our studio machines. It is much better to learn on your own machine but we do understand that this is not always possible so get in touch if you would like to borrow one.
