DESCRIPTION:Please note this is a three part workshop. \nPart 1 Thursday 5th March 6.30pm – 9pm \nPart 2 Thursday 12th March 6.30pm – 9pm \nPart 3 Thursday 19th March 6.30pm – 9pm \nOne payment covers all sessions. \nPart 1 Thursday 5th March 6.30pm – 9pm \nThe first session of this Brilliant Beginners sewing course will focus on the basic features of your sewing machine. Catie will guide you through the construction of an envelope style cushion cover. This will give you a chance to remind yourself about changing stitches and stitch length\, turning corners\, seam allowances and other important skills and sewing knowledge. \n\nPart 2 Thursday 12th March 6.30pm – 9pm \n\n\n\nIn this session you will be starting the prep for making pj bottoms. Catie will explain each stage throughout the process\, learning how to read a garment pattern correctly as you go. You will accurately take our body measurements to determine what size pattern to use\, cut out the pattern and fabric and then transfer all pattern markings on to the fabric. \n\nIf patterns need to be lengthened/shortened this can easily be can be dealt with! \n\n\n\n\n\nPart 3 Thursday 19th March 6.30pm – 9pm \n\n\n\n\n\n\nIn this session you will be sewing the pj bottoms. Catie will help you gain confidence with your sewing machine to join fabrics\, follow pattern instructions and construct a simple garment. The pj bottoms will be finished and hemmed ready for wearing! \n\n\nRequired sewing knowledge/experience for both sessions \nYou need to be able to turn on your sewing machine and sew a straight stitch! \nIt would be helpful if you are familiar with your machine and how to use it’s basic features such as winding and inserting the bobbin\, threading up your machine and needle. This session is suitable for sewing machine beginners\, eager to start their sewing journey. \n\n\nWhat will you need to bring for both sessions? \n\nYour sewing machine and instruction book\nEnthusiasm!\n\n\nMachines are available to hire so please let us know if you would like to use one of our machines.

DESCRIPTION:It’s time for workshop 2 of our beginners crochet classes with our very own Sophie\, AKA Campeycrafts on Instagram. SUMMARY:Make Your Own Quilted Jacket
DESCRIPTION:Please note this is a two part workshop. \nPart 1 Saturday 9th August 10.00am – 4.00pm \nPart 2 Saturday 16th August 10.00am – 4.00pm \nOne payment covers both sessions. Materials are NOT included. There is a 10% discount on all fabrics purchased for the workshop by attendees. \nDay 1 Saturday 9th August 10.00am – 4.00pm \nThe first session of this two day workshop will be focused on making the pattern for your quilted jacket and then piecing your patchwork together. Graham will guide you through the process of using your oversized sweatshirt to create a paper pattern which will then be used on the second day. You will also make up your quilt top using your own material which you have chosen prior to the day. \nBetween the two days you will need to quilt your top\, batting and lining together. Graham is kindly offering his services at a reduced rate of £35 to quilt your fabric ready for Day 2. If you are happy to quilt it yourself that is also great but will need to be quilted by Day 2. \n\nDay 2 Saturday 16th August 10.00am – 4.oopm \n\n\n\nIn this session you will be using your paper pattern to cut out and then construct your quilted jacket. Graham will help you construct the jacket and will be on hand to provide hints and tips for the tricky bits! An overlocker will be available for those who would like to overlock seams. You will hopefully leave with your quilted jacket finished or very nearly complete! \n\n\n\n\n\nRequired sewing knowledge/experience for both sessions\n\n\n\nYou will need to have experience making simple quilt tops prior to the workshop and understand how to use your sewing machine. This is not a beginners class and is ideally for those quilters who would like to construct a garment. \nWhat will you need to bring for both sessions? \n\n\n\nyour sewing machine\na layer cake or the equivalent of 2.5m of fabric for the patchwork\n1m suitable batting ie a thin\, breathable natural fibre such as cotton or bamboo\nlining fabric (this can be purchased after Day 1)\na sweatshirt one size bigger than usually worn\nmatching thread\n\n\nMachines are available to hire so please let us know if you would like to use one of our machines.

DESCRIPTION:Please note this is a three part workshop. \nPart 1 Tuesday 13th May 6.30pm – 9pm \nPart 2 Tuesday 20th May 6.30pm – 9pm \nPart 3 Tuesday 27th May 6.30pm – 9pm \nOne payment covers all sessions. \nPart 1 Tuesday 13th May 6.30pm – 9pm \nThe first session of this Brilliant Beginners sewing course will focus on the basic features of your sewing machine. Catie will guide you through the construction of an envelope style cushion cover. This will give you a chance to remind yourself about changing stitches and stitch length\, turning corners\, seam allowances and other important skills and sewing knowledge. \n\n\nPart 2 Tuesday 20th May 6.30pm – 9pm \n\n\n\nIn this session you will be starting the prep for making pj bottoms. Catie will explain each stage throughout the process\, learning how to read a garment pattern correctly as you go. You will accurately take our body measurements to determine what size pattern to use\, cut out the pattern and fabric and then transfer all pattern markings on to the fabric. \n\nIf patterns need to be lengthened/shortened this can easily be can be dealt with! \n\n\n\n\n\nPart 2 Tuesday 27th May 6.30pm – 9pm \n\n\n\n\n\n\nIn this session you will be sewing the pj bottoms. Catie will help you gain confidence with your sewing machine to join fabrics\, follow pattern instructions and construct a simple garment. The pj bottoms will be finished and hemmed ready for wearing! \n\n\nRequired sewing knowledge/experience for both sessions \nYou need to be able to turn on your sewing machine and sew a straight stitch! \nIt would be helpful if you are familiar with your machine and how to use it’s basic features such as winding and inserting the bobbin\, threading up your machine and needle. This session is suitable for sewing machine beginners\, eager to start their sewing journey. \n\n\nWhat will you need to bring for both sessions? \n\nYour sewing machine and instruction book\nEnthusiasm!\n\n\nMachines are available to hire so please let us know if you would like to use one of our machines.
