SUMMARY:Bloom Together - Spooky Wallhanging Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Join Helene on this child (8+)  and adult workshop to create a creative spooky scene  in an embroidery hoop ready to hang on your wall! You will both learn simple methods of appliqué using either a machine or hand sewing. Helene will also help you get to grips with fussy cutting fabric to make your textile art truly personalised. \nThere is no need to worry about experience\, this is suitable for beginners to experts! Come along and enjoy using fabric scraps to make something fabulous\, it’s a great way to recycle fabric in to something unique! \nAll materials and hoop are included in the cost and there will be a short break in the workshop with refreshments. \nWe are a neurodivergent friendly studio and understand that some people need more breaks than others. If you or your child requires any workshop adjustments please get in touch and let us know. We are more than happy to accommodate a range of needs. \nPlease note\, this workshop is for individuals aged 8 and over. Up to 2 children are welcome with one adult. DESCRIPTION:Our summer holiday workshops are all about creativity through textiles and media and are aimed at children and adults developing their skills in a range of areas and more importantly a chance to create and develop a love of being free to create. \nJoin Debbie on this child (8+)  and adult workshop to create a very cute felt ladybird broach using beads to embellish it. This whole project will be hand sewn so no machine needed and no experience needed! We encourage children of any age from 8+ to come along with their adult. You can either both sew one or work on the same one! \nIf you are a beginner to sewing\, whether adult or child\, Debbie will guide you through this project and demonstrate some simple stitches along the way. You will leave with a beautifully completed ladybird broach with enough fabric in your goody bag to go home and make another one! Yes! That’s buy one ticket\, get a goody bag free!! \nAll materials and a goody bag are included in the price! There will be a short break in the workshop with refreshments. \nWe are a neurodivergent friendly studio and understand that some people need more breaks than others. SUMMARY:Bloom Together - Embroidery in 3d
DESCRIPTION:Our summer holiday workshops are all about creativity through textiles and media and are aimed at children and adults developing their skills in a range of areas and more importantly a chance to create and develop a love of being free to create. \nJoin Debbie on this teen (12+) or adult workshop to create 3d flora and forna sculptures using embroidery and solufleece. Solufleece is a wash-away interfacing used create a structure on which to decorate. Once rinsed\, only the decoration is left and the interfacing has disappeared! This is often used in textiles art and is a great way to bring your sewing ideas into the 3d world! \nThis workshop will be a sewing machine based session. Machines can be provided but we encourage you to bring your own – it’s a great way to learn on them! \nWhat will I need to bring? \n\nsewing machine that you can drop the feed-dogs on (Please get in touch if you need help with this!)\nan open toe embroidery foot/ free motion embroidery foot\ncreativity and enthusiasm!\n\nAll materials are included in the price! There will be a short break in the workshop with refreshments. \nWe are a neurodivergent friendly studio and understand that some people need more breaks than others. If you or your teen requires workshop adjustments please get in touch and let us know. This useful fabric is a lightweight\, sheer cotton which holds its shape well making it perfect for textile sculpture. \nAdd decoration using haberdashery such as ribbons and beads and let your creativity loose on trimmings to make your jellyfish really stand out! \nAll materials are included in the price so just come with your enthusiasm! There will be a short break in the workshop with refreshments. \nWe are a neurodivergent friendly studio and understand that some people need more breaks than others. If you or your child requires workshop adjustments please get in touch and let us know. DESCRIPTION:Summer is definitely on its way and the children are off on their half term break! Get ready for the sunny weather with this fab workshop with Debbie\, our experienced sewing teacher. \nCome and learn how to sew your very own bucket hat using a sewing machine\, pattern and fabric from our great range of selected designs. \nYou can either bring your own machine or borrow one of ours to learn your skills on. This is the perfect opportunity to get to grips with a simple sewing pattern and learn how to sew a really useful item which can be made for adult or child. \nWe welcome up to two children with each adult and adults MUST stay and supervise their children in the session. Tickets are to be purchased for each child but adults go free! \nNo need to bring a pattern or fabric\, these are both included in the cost!
