Choose a landscape scene, pick contrasting textures and colours and let your creativity bloom with Debbie’s expert tutoring. Free motion machine quilting is a fantastic skill to develop and this short introductory workshop is a perfect way to get you started!

Learn how to use your machine to create pictures using stitches to develop brushstrokes and texture. Drop your feed dogs and hang on to your thread… the world is your oyster!

You will need

• your sewing machine which has the ability to drop its feed dogs
• a free motion foot/ darning foot
• thread

You will achieve

• your very own interpretation of a landscape in textiles
• some free motion embroidery stitches and techniques
• exploring your creativity through mindful sewing and art

This workshop is aimed at all sewists aged 16 and over who are confident beginners. You must be able to thread your machine, sew simple stitches and have an understanding of the basic parts of your sewing machine. This is a perfect workshop for those individuals who are starting a textiles or art qualification in September.
