This month Helen will show you how to create an 8 point star using foundation paper piecing.

It is a simple but effective star using foundation paper piecing.

Great for advanced or beginners.

This workshop is suitable for beginners to quilting. You will need to be familiar with your machine and how to use it’s basic features such as winding and inserting the bobbin, threading up your machine and needle, changing the feet and needle and sewing a straight stitch. This session is not suitable for complete sewing machine beginners however, you do not need to have any experience of quilting. You must have a 1/4″ foot or the ability to move your needle to the 1/4″ seam allowance

What do you need to bring?

• Sewing machine and neutral thread
•  2 fat quarters for the star
• 1 fat quarter for the background (lighter colour)
• You must have a 1/4″ foot or the ability to move your needle to the 1/4″ seam allowance
• Fabric marking pen
• Ruler
• Rotary cutter
