This is a great scrap busting technique and a wonderful block to use to make an easy table runner.
This workshop is suitable for beginners to quilting. You will need to be familiar with your machine and how to use it’s basic features such as winding and inserting the bobbin, threading up your machine and needle, changing the feet and needle and sewing a straight stitch. This session is not suitable for complete sewing machine beginners however, you do not need to have any experience of quilting. You must have a 1/4″ foot or the ability to move your needle to the 1/4″ seam allowance.
What do you need to bring for one sample block?
- Sewing machine and neutral thread
- 4 fat quarters in patterned or solid colours or scrap strips that are at least 3″ x 8″
- You must have a 1/4″ foot or the ability to move your needle to the 1/4″ seam allowance
- Fabric marking pen
- Ruler
- Rotary cutter
