Block of the Month

This month Helen will guide you through how to boost your binding techniques by adding a pop of colour to your quilt, runner and cushion binding. You will also get plenty of tips as to how to get the perfect corners too!

What do you need to bring?

• Sewing machine and thread
• 2 skinny quarters  of 2 contrasting fabrics
• A 20″ x 20″ square quilt sandwich
• You must have a 1/4″ foot or the ability to move your needle to the 1/4″ seam allowance
• Fabric marking pen
• Ruler
• Rotary cutter

Required sewing knowledge/experience

This workshop is suitable for beginners to quilting. You will need to be familiar with your machine and how to use it’s basic features such as winding and inserting the bobbin, threading up your machine and needle, changing the feet and needle and sewing a straight stitch. This session is not suitable for complete sewing machine beginners however, you do not need to have any experience of quilting. You must have a 1/4″ foot or the ability to move your needle to the 1/4″ seam allowance
