Conquering Crochet

We are very excited to bring you the first of two beginners crochet classes with our very own Sophie, AKA Campeycrafts on Instagram. Sophie will be giving you the confidence to conquer crochet techniques right from the very beginning, from making a chain all the way to sewing up your very own hat!

In this crochet session, Sophie will walk you through how to hold a hook and yarn, making a chain and working stitches in to the chain. She will expertly guide you through a range of different basic stitches and then move on to making your own hat using your own choice of stitch. In the second of the two sessions, you will continue to crochet your hat and then be taught a method of sewing up to make your hat 3d!

Yarn, hook and light refreshments are included. 

Left or right handed, everyone is welcome from age 14 upwards.

About our tutor

Sophie has been with us at Bugweed’s for over 6 months and is an avid crocheter. She has her own instagram page where she posts her makes and enjoys making toys, jumpers and cardigans. Sophie has the patience of a saint and is ready for all your questions regarding hooks, yarns, crochet and general yarnny matters!
