October 17, 2024 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

£45.00

Join Catherine to learn how to knit stranded colourwork!

In this workshop you will learn the techniques used in knitting stranded colourwork. Working through a simple project together you will cover reading colourwork patterns and charts, choosing and managing yarns, and tips for maintaining even tension. By the end of the workshop you will have the techniques and confidence to tackle any colourwork project you like.

What do I need to bring?

Please bring a 3.5mm circular needle, 40cm long. A printed pattern and 3 balls of Jamieson’s Spindrift will be provided.

Previous experience required?

Aimed at anyone already comfortable with basic knitting techniques, including knitting in the round on a circular needle. No previous colourwork experience is needed.

About our tutor

Catherine learnt to knit as a new mum, desperate for something to do where she could see progress. It worked, and a decade on she still loves the ability to create fabric out of yarn, to play with colour, texture and pattern, and to fit garments to bodies of any shape and size. She has published several knitting patterns of her own and also enjoys spinning her own yarn.
