Introduction to Wool Painting – Create a wet felted picture

Make your own unique wool painting!

Join our experienced tutor Katy who will guide through the wet felting process, helping you produce a unique piece of artwork, also known as ‘wool painting’.

What do I need to bring?

Nothing, all materials and equipment will be provided.

Previous experience required

No previous experience needed. This workshop is suitable for beginners.

Our tutor Katy

Katy works mainly with Merino wool, using felting and embroidery to create landscape stories. Changing skies, seasons and rural scenes inspire her beautiful pictures. She also makes wearable accessories and clothing using the same felting techniques. Katy has exhibited her work for some years and can be found at local artisan fairs and exhibitions.  She is a member of the International Feltmakers Association.

Katy was an Art & Textiles teacher in Secondary schools across North and West Yorkshire for 24 years. She has taught all ages and abilities from 11 – 18 years. This breadth of experience means she is well suited to teach workshops.
